Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck is an American actor and filmmaker. Affleck was born in Berkeley, California, on August 15th, 1972. He began acting from a young age, appearing in several children's television shows and landing roles in a couple of TV movies. During the 90s Affleck’s career took off; Affleck appeared in Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused in 1993, followed by Glory Daze in 1995, and Kevin Smith’s cult classic, Mallrats, in 1995. In 1997, Affleck co-wrote and appeared in Good Will Hunting, along with Matt Damon. The movie earned the pair the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe. Affleck became, and remains, the youngest writer to win an Academy Award for a screenplay. In the wake of the success of Good Will Hunting, Affleck landed a string of leading roles in major movies, including: Pearl Harbour, Armageddon, Dogma, and Boiler Room. Affleck could not sustain his success as an actor, his career took a down turn and several of his movies flopped. Though he continued to act, Affleck’s primary focus became directing until 2016 when he accepted the role of Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
