Born on October 26th, 1973, Seth Woodbury MacFarlane is an American writer, comedian, and vocal actor. He is most famous for creating the animated television series Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, and American Dad! MacFarlane started his career in television animation after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design. His first job was for the company Hanna-Barbera, where he worked on children’s animated TV shows Jonny Bravo and Dexter's Laboratory. MacFarlane made it to the big time after Fox commissioned a pilot of his show, Family Guy. The show aired on prime-time television in 1999 and went on to become one of the most popular animated series of the early 21st Century. Seth MacFarlane was named Harvard Humanist of the Year in 2011, for his support of equal marriage and several other social justice topics.
